Throughout the year we offer various ways that eople of varying abilities and time commitments can get involved in… planting veg, weeding, planting seeds, caring for animals, etc.

Common Questions
Anyone in the community can participate! We welcome individuals, families, schools, and local organisations. You do not need prior gardening/farming experience to join.
You can get involved by signing up through our website or attending one of our community meetings. We also have regular volunteer days where you can come and help out without any long-term commitment.
There's always something happening at Origin! This is great, but also means we cannot allow visits outside of organised times. You can contact us for more info, or join our Whatsapp group to see upcoming events.
Origin is a co-operative growing space, where we all work the land, care for the animals and share in the maintainance of the space... there's no individual plots, and we all share in the harvests. This also aids in biodiversity, crop rotation, etc.
No problem! We have experienced team members on hand to help you get started. Farming and gardening as a community is also about learning from each other, so there’s always someone around to lend a hand.
Absolutely! Origin is a great place for children to learn about nature and gardening. We do ask that children are supervised at all times.
Yes! We love all animals at Origin! Your dog will be required to be on a lead at all times, and kept under control. Please be aware that there are free ranging chickens, ducks, etc and some dogs may find this difficult.
We share everything grown between all participants, plus we aim to give away a large percentage of all we grow to those locally in need of food, and we also support refugee and asylum seeker projects with fresh vegetables/fruit throughout the year.
