I have been a volunteer at Origin since the first early days and I could never have imagined how it would develop and grow into what it is today.
I got involved because I love nature and animals so being at Origin is perfect for me but it is also a space to work alongside other volunteers and enjoy their company.
This was particularly valuable during the COVID lockdown when it was so good to get out to Origin and have the support of other volunteers. I think that it probably preserved my sanity then! It’s amazing how spending time outside and having a chat and a laugh lifts your spirits.
I love that Origin is such a safe space. Everyone feels valued and volunteers are able to work or just to relax and enjoy the beautiful place and company of others.
My hope for Origin is that many more folk would come and also feel the benefit of such a space and community.
