A lot has been quietly and beautifully unfolding at Origin over the past few months.

One of the biggest changes is that our space has grown. We have added a further six acres to the land we are developing together, opening up new possibilities for how this place can support people, nature, and community into the future. While full plans will emerge slowly and thoughtfully over the coming months, the heart of this new area is already clear. We are committed to creating a forested, rewilded landscape that prioritises biodiversity, healing, and connection with the natural world.

Rewilding is not about quick results or neat edges. It is about patience, trust, and allowing land to become what it wants to be, with gentle human care rather than control. This new space gives us the opportunity to do just that.

As a first step on this longer journey, some of the Origin team recently came together to plant 500 trees. Covering a modest section of the new land, it marked the beginning of something very exciting. There was something quietly powerful about being out there together, hands in the soil, planting trees that will outlive us, and imagining what this area might feel like in ten, twenty, or fifty years’ time.

Moments like these remind us that Origin is not about buildings, projects, or plans. It is about relationship. Relationship with each other, with the land, and with the wider ecosystem we are part of.

We are deeply grateful to NIE and The Conservation Volunteers for supplying the trees and for being present with us on the day. Their support, knowledge, and encouragement made a real difference, and it felt good to be working alongside others who share a commitment to long-term environmental care.

This is only the beginning for this new part of Origin Space. As the trees settle in and the land begins to change, we will continue to share what is unfolding, slowly and honestly. We are excited to see how this space grows, not just in terms of woodland, but in how it supports reflection, connection, and wellbeing for everyone who becomes part of it.
