Origin is a tonic to the everyday noise that keeps me from truely living.
A place where I can be wholly present.
I forget my phone exists and suddenly the fear of missing out and the need for validation dissappear, I can simply be. Alongside nature, coexisting, messy and unpolished, an animal among animals.

From the moment I arrive, my time is effortlessly filled with enriching experiences, from quietly pausing to pet the cats and take in the morning birdsong, to the aliveness of the rain and feeling of satisfaction from knowing I have worked hard and utilised my body while giving back to the earth.

To have access to such a rich biodiverse landscape where I can watch animals, insects and pollinators thrive, away from chemicals, pollution and harm is incredibly healing not only for the environment but for my own mind.

Being mindful about our consumption, slowing down and giving back compassionately to the nature that our human lives depend on…

I’ve started to wonder if we rescued the chickens or if they rescued us?

At Origin, we believe that every creature deserves the opportunity to live in a humane and dignified way. By rescuing chickens, we provide them with a safe environment, where they can roam freely, stretch their wings, and engage in natural behaviours like foraging, dust bathing, and socialising with other chickens plus goats, ducks and geese.

Chickens play an essential role in our ecosystem by contributing to soil health, reducing food waste, and promoting biodiversity. Their natural foraging habits help control pests, while their manure acts as a rich fertiliser, enhancing the quality of our soil and supporting our crops.
